Admission information:
As places are limited, priority will be given to students from currently under-represented groups in higher education. These include, for example, students with no immediate history of higher education in their family, students in care, travellers, or students with any disability. These criteria will be taken into account during the selection process.

The Summer School is aimed at students who have a genuine interest in science or engineering and would like to explore the opportunities and potential of studying the subject at university.

Brief Outline of Course

You will be able to choose from a range of science and engineering subjects. Each session will emphasise hands-on group work, as well as providing students with the opportunity to explore their own skills and talents. *Subject areas offered include:

  • Aerospace Engineering
  • Biology
  • Chemical Engineering
  • Chemistry
  • Civil Engineering
  • Computing
  • Electronic Engineering
  • Mathematics
  • Mechanical Engineering
  • Medical Engineering
  • Nutrition
  • Physics

Sessions will also be provided on how to apply to university and Student Finance.

Social Activities

Our social events aim to give students an idea of what university life is really like. Previous activities have included watching new film releases, sports activities, Ten Pin Bowling, Karaoke and Disco nights.
