The application window for BAM Nuttall’sAdvanced Apprenticeships in Civil Engineering opens 1st May 2013.

From day one BAM Nuttall apprentices will work with an experienced team, making an instant contribution to the running of £multi-million projects.

Train to become a Civil Engineer or Quantity Surveyor

A career with BAM Nuttall is a great opportunity for school leavers, giving them training, freedom and involvement in all aspects of a project at the earliest stage.

BAM Nuttall Apprenticeships give learners the opportunity to train as either a Civil Engineer or a Quantity Surveyor. The qualification and site placement is tailored to each apprentice and after 2 – 3 years they will gain a nationally recognised qualification ready to begin their career.

Entry Requirements

To apply for an Advanced Apprenticeship with BAM Nuttall, applicants will need to meet the following entry requirements:
• Be aged between 16 – 23
• Have a minimum of 4 GCSE’s (Grade A* – C) including Maths, English, Science

Qualifications and Training

All BAM Nuttall apprentices will receive the following qualifications and training:
• BTEC Level 3 Diploma in Construction and the Built Environment
• NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Construction Contracting Operations
• Additional practical and technical training, designed to give learners a more detailed understanding of civil engineering or quantity surveying

Further Information

The Apprenticeship starts in October 2013. Apprentices will attend Stephenson College in Leicestershire for their first college block. After four months at college apprentices will be ready to start their first site placement. Then, in the second year on the Apprenticeship Programme apprentices will attend college in two shorter blocks. The Apprenticeship Programme has a strong culture within BAM Nuttall and they hold regular development workshops and social events.

From this date applicants will need to visit the BAM Nuttall Apprenticeship webpagewhere they’ll see a link to the online application form.
